Ryan Christie signed for Celtic on transfer deadline day 2015, to become the club’s seventh signing of the summer. The 20-year-old arrived from Inverness Caledonian Thistle, putting pen to paper on a four year deal.
As an attacking midfielder, Christie progressed through the club’s youth academy, making over fifty appearances for the first team over a three year period. Christie featured for the Caley Jags as they won last year’s Scottish Cup for the first time in the club’s history before also featuring in the club’s maiden European ties against FC Astra.
He follows in the footsteps of his father Charlie who featured for Celtic between 1987 and 1989. As part of his transfer, Christie has been loaned back to Inverness for the remainder of the season.
