Alejandro Bernabei, an Argentinian-born defender, was born on 24th September 2000, currently aged 25. He primarily occupies the position of a left back for Internacional, where he presents an imposing figure; standing tall at 5ft 6in (1.69m) and weighing in at 10st 3lb (65kg).

Bernabei's professional journey kicked off in earnest in July 2018 when he joined Lanus, a Primera Division team in his home country of Argentina. In his debut season, 2019 - 2020, he made 13 appearances for the first team and managed to find the back of the net once. His time at Lanus saw him making 24 first team appearances in the subsequent season, and a solitary appearance in the following season of 2022.
Bernabei's skills in Argentina did not go unnoticed. In July 2022, the Scottish Premiership club Celtic, decided to invest around £3.8m to bring Bernabei to their squad. During the 2022 - 2023 season, he made 15 first team appearances and scored an impressive goal. The next season, 2023 - 2024, saw him taking to the pitch eight more times, albeit without addition to the scoring tally.
His time at Celtic came to a temporary halt in March 2024 when he was loaned out to Internacional in the Série A in Brazil. Bernabei's time at Internacional during the 2024 season presented him with 23 first team appearances and he amazed the Brazilian crowd by netting three goals. AS of 2025, he has already made 19 league appearances in the current season.
Quite impressed by his performances, Internacional decided to make Bernabei's stay permanent in January 2025 by acquiring him from Celtic for a transfer fee of around £4.3m. His record at the club speaks for itself, having made 23 first team appearances and scoring three goals in the league in 2024 season. The current season has seen Bernabei being fielded 19 times already, thus cementing his position in the team.
Apart from his club commitments, Bernabei has also represented Internacional in Copa Libertadores 2025 where he scored a goal in his eight starts. He was also given three starts in the Copa do Brasil 2025, emphasising his importance to the team.
