Anthony Stokes

Anthony Stokes joined Celtic from Hibernian in August 2010, making his debut for the Hoops against Hearts the following month. His first goal for the club came on September 19, 2010 when he netted the winner in a 2-1 victory over Kilmarnock at Rugby Park. By the start of 2015, Stokes had made nearly 180 appearances for Celtic, while his goals tally was approaching 80. The Irishman, who began his career at Arsenal, and also had spells at Falkirk, Sunderland, Sheffield United and Crystal Palace, had gained full international honours for his country, earning his first cap in 2007 against San Marino. In March 2015, Stokes would add the Scottish League Cup to his three league titles and two Scottish Cups, when he played a starring role in the final at Hampden where Celtic ran out 2-0 winners over Dundee United.
