Carl Starfelt, born in Stockholm on 1 June 1995 (age 31), is a Swedish centre-back currently with Celta Vigo. His earlier career took him to Rubin Kazan, where his 2020-2021 league season was his most productive in front of goal: three goals in 29 appearances.
Celtic signed him from Rubin Kazan in July 2021 for around ยฃ4m. He arrived as a first-team defender rather than a development punt, and his two years in Glasgow were steady enough without needing much embroidery. In August 2023, he left Celtic for Celta Vigo.
