Greg Taylor, a robust defender chiefly operating as a left back, was born on the 5th of November, 1997. Hailing from the pitching shores of Scotland, the 28-year-old Scot presently plays for PAOK, donning the number 32 jersey. Taylor measures 1.73m (5ft 8in) in height and tips the proverbial scales at 63kg (9st 12lb). In addition to his club duty, he has also donned the Scotland national team's colours.
The current market value of his skills on the field is valued around €6m, which translates to approximately £5m, according to Transfermarkt.
Cutting his teeth in the professional football world, Taylor joined Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership in July 2015. His debut season saw him grace the field only once. However, this figure increased dramatically in the ensuing seasons, culminating in him making 38 appearances in the 2017-2018 season. Taylor ended his service for Kilmarnock in the 2019-20 season, having made a couple of appearances.
September 2019 saw a change in Taylor's trajectory as he moved from Kilmarnock to Celtic, with the transfer fees remaining undisclosed. The ensuing seasons at Celtic proved to be a peak period in his football career. Despite a modest dozen appearances in his first season (2019-20), Taylor's pitch-time increased in the subsequent seasons.
Particularly noteworthy are his performances in the 2021-24 seasons, where he not only made consistent first-team appearances – even scoring three goals each in the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons – but also became a vital part of Celtic’s backbone. Even in his final season (2024-25) with Celtic, he made a remarkable 28 first-team appearances, cementing his place as an integral member of the team.
In July 2025, steering his career towards new vistas, Taylor transferred from Celtic to PAOK in the Greek Super League. Currently, in the 2025-26 season, Taylor has made seven first-team appearances for PAOK.
Aside from club football, Taylor represented Scotland in the Euro Qualifiers 2022-24, with two starts to his name. Furthermore, he lent PAOK his services in the Europa League Qualifiers for the 2025-26 season, although as a substitute.
