Jozo Simunovic signed for Celtic on transfer deadline day 2015. The highly rated central defender became Ronny Deila’s eighth signing of the summer, following on from fellow deadline day acquisition Ryan Christie.

Simunovic started his career at Dynamo Zagreb, progressing through their youth ranks before making his senior debut in March 2013. The defender also featured at home for Dynamo against Celtic in last season’s Europa League tie when he was introduced as an 11th minute substitute.

He has also earned international recognition with Croatia’s U21 side, having previously played for his country from age 14.
Simunovic becomes the first Croatian to play for Celtic.
