Logan Bailly, born on 27 December 1985, is a former goalkeeper hailing from Belgium. Standing at an intimidating 6ft 2in (1.9m) and weighing in at 13st 5lb (85kg), Bailly was a formidable presence between the posts.
Bailly's football career kicked off in July 2001, where he joined Belgian Pro League side Genk as a trainee. It wasn't long before he made his mark at Genk, with his first two appearances for the senior side arriving in the 2004 - 2005 season. Over a series of seasons at Genk, Bailly made a total of 33 appearances in the 2006 - 2007 season, followed by a total of 31 appearances in the 2007 - 2008 season. His involvement waned somewhat during the 2008 - 2009 season, where he made only 12 appearances, and he featured a mere nine times in the 2011 - 2012 season.
His time at Genk briefly intersected with a loan stint at Belgium's fourth division club, Heusden-Zolder, in October 2003, where he made 16 appearances in the 2003 - 2004 season.
Bailly transferred to German Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach in January 2009 for an undisclosed fee. At Monchengladbach, he started in goal on 17 occasions throughout the 2008 - 2009 season, 29 times in the 2009 - 2010 season, and 15 times in the 2010 - 2011 season.
July 2011 saw him shipped off to Swiss Challenge League's Neuchatel Xamax FC on loan, following which he was briefly loaned back to Genk in January 2012, before eventually settling with Belgian Pro League side Oud-Heverlee Leuven in July 2012. Over two seasons he chalked up 30 appearances in the 2012 - 2013 season and 28 appearances in the following season.
In July 2015, the path of this journeyman keeper took him to our own green and white striped side, Celtic, joining the Scottish Premiership for a sum of around Β£250,000. Logan's keepership at Celtic was, regrettably, not replete with opportunities to shine under the limelight, making only three appearances during the 2015 - 2016 season.
Logan left Celtic in July 2017 for Belgium's third division side, Royal Excel Mouscron, where he made a total of 16 appearances during the 2017 - 2018 season. When October 2018 came around, Bailly transferred from Royal Excel Mouscron, though the details of his next destination are uncertain.
Despite the scant minutes on the pitch, Bailly will be remembered by the Hoops faithful for his time at Celtic and the defensive contribution he made in his abbreviated tenure.
