Manny Perez, born in North Carolina on 19 February 1999 (age 27), came through the American college route before Celtic took him from NC State in January 2019. A right-back, he was part of the club’s wider recruitment net rather than a player who forced his way into the centre of the story.
His Celtic spell was followed by a move to Portland Timbers in April 2021. Around that period he also had time with North Carolina, where his most productive league season came in 2020 with one goal in 14 appearances, before later spells with Portland and AC Horsens.
