Michael Duffy, born in Derry on 28 July 1994 (age 31), is a Republic of Ireland left winger whose career began at Derry City before an early move to Celtic.
He joined Celtic from Derry City in February 2015, an early step up that brought him into a bigger environment before his senior career had really settled. It was not a long Celtic story, and in February 2017 he left for Dundalk.
Dundalk gave him the platform he needed. His most productive league season came there in 2019, when he scored 12 goals in 34 appearances, showing the end product that had only been glimpsed earlier in his career.
After Dundalk, Duffy became more fully established back at Derry City. In 2026 he has made 12 Premier Division appearances and scored five goals, a solid return for a wide player now operating at a familiar club.
His career has taken him from Derry City to Celtic, on to Dundalk, and back to Derry City, with the best of his senior football coming after he moved on from Glasgow.
