Moussa Dembele, born on 12 July 1996, is a French forward who currently darts down the pitch for Al-Ettifaq as a striker. Standing at 6 foot (1.83m) and tipping the scales at 12 stone 6 pounds (79kg), Dembele is a commanding presence on the pitch.
Starting from July 2012, Dembele took to the pitch for Fulham in England's Premier League. He had a humble start, only making two league appearances during the 2013-2014 season. Over the next two years, he slowly started to carve his name in the team, with 54 appearances and netting 15 goals between 2014 to 2016.
In July 2016, Dembele moved from Fulham to Celtic in Scotland's Premiership, transferring for a modest sum of half a million quid. Celtic Park quickly became familiar grounds for Dembele between the years of 2016 and 2018 where he made 55 league appearances and found the back of the net 26 times for the Hoops, with a standout season in 2016-2017 where he scored 17 goals. An injury in the 2018-2019 season sadly cut short his Celtic career, but not before he made one final appearance for the Parkhead faithful.
Dembele then flew the Premiership coop for Ligue 1, as Celtic sold him to Lyon in August 2018 for around £20m. His time in Lyon blossomed his true talent, with Dembele making numerous league appearances and scoring a bevy of beauties for the club, the most prolific season being 2021-2022 where he scored 21 goals in 30 league games.
Dembele took a brief hiatus from Lyon and dipped his toes in LaLiga playing for Atletico Madrid on loan during the 2020-2021 season, but after only five league appearances, he returned to Lyon.
In July 2023, Dembele once again packed his boots and bid adieu to France. His road led him to Al-Ettifaq in the Pro League in Saudi Arabia, where he currently strides the pitch, lighting up scoreboards with six goals in merely 15 appearances during the 2025-2026 season.
