Osaze Urhoghide, born on 4 July 2000 (age 25), is a Dutch central defender now with FC Dallas. He came through the English game with Sheffield Wednesday before Celtic took him to Glasgow in July 2021.
His Celtic spell was brief and never really settled into anything substantial. By July 2023 he had moved on to Amiens, a clean enough break after two years in which he remained more a squad name than a regular presence.
Amiens gave him a firmer platform. His most productive league season came in 2024-25, when he scored two goals in 17 league appearances, modest numbers for a defender but a useful sign of a player getting regular senior football after a stop-start period.
He later moved to FC Dallas, where he wears number 26. He has made 12 MLS appearances, scoring once, and has also featured twice in the MLS Cup Play Offs, giving him 14 appearances and one goal for the club in all competitions.
Urhoghide’s career has moved from Sheffield Wednesday to Celtic, then on to Amiens and FC Dallas. The Celtic chapter was short, but his later spells have given him the steadier run of football he needed.
