Abu Kamara, born 21 July 2003 (currently 21 years old), is an English-born professional footballer. He mainly operates as a striker for Hull City, wearing the number 44 jersey. His physique allows him to fit perfectly into the role of a forward, standing 6 feet tall (approximately 1.85 metres) and weighs about 12 stone 10 pounds (approximately 81 kilograms).
The young striker has a current market value of around €4.00m, which, given the current economic climate, calculates to roughly £3.5m. This valuation comes courtesy of Transfermarkt. Notably, Kamara's contract with Hull City is set to go on until 30 June 2028, having a remaining duration of effectively 3 years.
His career journey thus far has been rather interesting. In July 2020, he joined Norwich City, initially starting out within their training set up. His debut season, 2022-2023, at Norwich saw Kamara making an appearance three times in league matches. He carried on into the next season, 2024-2025, making another two appearances for the Canaries in the league matches.
However, Kamara was then loaned out to Portsmouth, another Championship side in England in July 2023. But by June 2024, he returned to Norwich City, concluding his loan spell at Portsmouth. Despite occasional appearances, progression at Norwich seemed to fade, leading to a pivotal transfer in Kamara's career.
In August 2024, Kamara left Norwich and signed for Hull City in the Championship in England. The transfer fee remains undisclosed. Kamara greatly impressed in his first season, 2024-2025, with Hull City, making 36 first-team appearances and netting five goals in league matches. Kamara's competence also saw him participating in the FA Cup that season for Hull City, earning himself a start. His performances underlined his potential and undoubtedly fostered his increasing valuation in the football market.
