Adam Montgomery, a Scottish defender predominantly operating as a left back for Livingston, was born on the 18th of July, 2002, making him 23 years old. He stands at a modest height of 5 feet 8 inches (1.73 metres) and weighs 9st 6lb (60kg). Montgomery, wearing the number 3 jersey, started his professional career with Celtic Football Club, amassing a collection of loan spells at clubs in both Scotland and England.
In July 2009, Montgomery's career took its first major leap as he joined Celtic as a trainee. Over the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 seasons, Montgomery salted away two and eight first team appearances respectively for the Hoops.
January 2022 saw Montgomery make a temporary switch to Aberdeen, where he accumulated seven first team outings in league matches for his loan term, before returning to his parent club Celtic in June 2022. His stint included another two solid performances in his debut season followed by eight in the subsequent season.
His spells away from Parkhead continued as he spent the 2022-2023 season at St Johnstone, making 28 appearances under the loan agreement. Once again, upon completion of this arrangement, he like a homing pigeon returned to Celtic for the 2023-2024 season.
Soon after, the opportunity at Fleetwood Town tempted Montgomery for a short stint in England's League Two before he again returned to Celtic in January 2024. Following this, a swift move to Motherwell on loan was cut short as he returned to Celtic in February of the same year.
Montgomery then packed his kit bag for a loan spell at Queen's Park for the 2024-2025 season. Notching up 12 appearances and a solitary goal, this period saw Montgomery continue to gain invaluable match experience. The cycle continued as he completed his term at Queen's Park and returned back to Celtic in June 2025.
As reshuffles would have it, in July 2025, Montgomery relocated for a loan deal to Livingston. As of the current 2025-2026 season, he has made eight first-team appearances in league matches. His spell at Livingston has also seen him make a mark in the League Cup, where he has started in one match, scoring one goal.
Montgomery's career is a testament to his perseverance and adaptability, traversing across multiple dressing rooms, whilst maintaining a steady momentum in his development as a professional footballer.
