Aidan Borland (born 25 April 2007, age 19) is a Scottish central midfielder now with Accrington Stanley. His early development came at Celtic, before he moved south in July 2023 to join Aston Villa for around £300,000.
That was a fairly familiar modern route: a young Scottish player leaving before any senior Celtic career had properly formed, with an English academy prepared to pay for potential. Borland’s Celtic connection is therefore brief but still central to the shape of his career so far.
