Aiden Gilmartin is a Scottish forward born on June 2nd, 2005, and as of now, is 19 years old. Although young, Gilmartin has built a reputation for his skills at various clubs across Scotland, but is most prominently known for his role at the Junior Teams' Darvel club where he has been stationed as their go-to striker.
In July 2020, young Gilmartin's career kicked off at the Scottish Premiership's St Mirren, where initially he joined as a trainee. His tenure would be best described as a learning period, with him only making one first-team appearance during the entire 2021-2022 season.
Gilmartin's career took a turn in July 2022 when he transferred from St Mirren to Cowdenbeath, a Lowland League club in Scotland, as part of a loan deal. This constituted Gilmartin's first movement within the Scottish football system.
However, Gilmartin's journey was just beginning. Having spent a season at Cowdenbeath, he was loaned again in August 2023. This time, East Kilbride, another Lowland League club, saw potential in young Gilmartin and provided him with a chance to further develop his football skills.
By January 2024, Gilmartin's journey took another turn. This time, he moved from St Mirren to Stranraer, a League Two club in Scotland, on loan. By this time, Gilmartin's reputation had grown significantly as he moved around several clubs. Despite his age, he was gaining the experience of playing in a variety of different circumstances and for different teams.
Eventually, in August 2024, Gilmartin made a permanent move away from St Mirren, this time to Darvel in the Junior Teams division in Scotland. As of the 2024-2025 season, Gilmartin has not made any first-team appearances in league matches for Darvel, but his journey and potential remain evident.
