Alex Gogic, born on 13 April 1994 (age 32), is a Cypriot central defender whose career has come to be shaped most clearly by his time at St Mirren. There is no need to dress that up: five seasons, 150 league appearances and eight league goals make Paisley the obvious centre of the story.
His most productive league campaign came in 2022-2023, when he scored twice in 30 appearances. That was less about headline numbers than reliability, the sort of steady involvement that tends to keep a defender in the manager’s plans without generating much theatre around it.
He has remained a regular presence in 2025-2026, making 33 league appearances and scoring twice, with further involvement in the League Cup, Scottish Cup and Premiership play-offs. Across the season he has played 47 times for St Mirren in all competitions, scoring three goals.
Gogic’s career is not a sprawling one in the telling. He is a Cyprus international defender, established at St Mirren, and still part of their first-team picture in his early thirties.
