Alex Iacovitti, an English defender born on 2 September 1997, stands at 6ft 2in (1.88m) and weighs in at 12st 12lb (82kg). Currently sporting the number 4 jersey for St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership, his career has seen a host of domestic duty.
Initiating his professional journey in July 2015 with Nottingham Forest, his stint with Premier League football commenced. Iacovitti debuted in the 2016-2017 season bagging only two first team appearances in league matches.
In August 2016, he shifted gears, transitioning to Mansfield Town in the League One, albeit on loan. His tenure was brief with Mansfield Town, extending to the 2016-2017 season and concluding with a total of eight first team appearances.
Subsequently, in January 2017, Iacovitti returned to Nottingham Forest, however his return mirrored his initial performance, again rendering just two first team appearances.
In July 2017, a new challenge awaited Iacovitti as he was loaned to the Forest Green Rovers in the National League. Iacovitti witnessed some game-time, making 14 first team appearances and slotting one goal during the 2017-2018 season. This loan stint too ended in January 2018.
From January 2019, Iacovitti found himself donning Oldham Athletic colours, initially on loan and then permanently from July 2019.
The Scottish football landscape beckoned in July 2020 as Iacovitti transferred to Ross County. Here, his performance saw significant improvements with 36 first team appearances and two league goals scored in the 2020-2021 season. He maintained similar figures in the subsequent seasons.
He then had a brief spell at Port Vale, in England's League Two in July 2023, before switching to Scottish Premiership side St Mirren in July 2024 for an undisclosed fee.
At St Mirren, in the current season of 2024-2025, he has four appearances under his belt. He has participated in the League Cup with one start and made impacts in the Conference League Qualifiers, scoring two goals in three substitute appearances.
