Alexis Saelemaekers, born 27 June 1999 (age 26), is a Belgian right winger whose senior career has been shaped chiefly at AC Milan. He wears squad number 56 and is valued at around £17m by Transfermarkt.
Milan has been the main thread. Across seven seasons he has made 147 league appearances for the club, scoring nine league goals. Those are not numbers that make him a headline act, but they do point to a player trusted often enough at a demanding club, which is usually the more telling measure.
His most productive league season came away from Milan, at Roma in 2024–25, when he scored seven goals in 22 appearances. That spell added a bit more end product to a career more often associated with work on the flank than with finishing moves.
By 2025–26 he was still a regular part of the AC Milan side, making 35 Serie A appearances and scoring three league goals. He also played three times in the Coppa Italia and once in the Supercoppa, taking him to 39 appearances and three goals for Milan across all competitions that season.
Saelemaekers has also remained involved with Belgium, making seven appearances in European World Cup qualifying this season and scoring once. His career to date is a clear Milan story, with a useful Roma year in the middle and continued relevance at club and international level.
