Allan Campbell, born on 4 July 1997 (age 28), is a Scottish centre midfielder now with St Mirren, wearing squad number 16. He came through at Motherwell, with an early loan at Airdrieonians giving him senior football before he settled into the Fir Park first team.
At Motherwell he became a reliable Premiership midfielder rather than a decorative one. His best league return came in 2019-20, when he scored five goals in 30 appearances, a decent enough output for a player whose game has generally been built around work, positioning and simple use of the ball.
Campbell later moved on to Luton Town and had further senior football away from his first club before turning up at St Mirren. His current market value is around £680,000, according to Transfermarkt.
In 2025-26 he has made 12 league appearances for St Mirren without scoring, along with one Scottish Cup appearance and two Premiership play-off appearances. Across all competitions for the Paisley club, he has played 15 times and has yet to score.
Campbell’s career has been a steady Scottish midfield story: developed at Motherwell, tested early on loan, productive enough at his first club, and now part of the St Mirren squad.
