Andrej Ilić, a promising forward from Serbia, was born on the 3rd of April 2000 which places him at 25 years of age at present. Currently, he showcases his skills on the football pitch as a striker for Union Berlin. Ilić, with a height of 6ft 2in (1.89m) and weighing approximately 13st 3lb (84kg), certainly imposes his physical presence on the game. Still in the early stages of his career, he dons the kit marked number '23' and has already had the honour of representing his homeland, Serbia, on the international stage.
As stated by Transfermarkt, the estimated market value of Ilić is roughly £5 million, highlighting the considerable talent he possesses.
His transition into professional football saw him move from Javor Ivanjica in the Serbian SuperLiga to RFS in the Latvian Virslīga in September 2021. The fee, however, remains undisclosed. From there, his journey took him to Valerenga in the Eliteserien in Norway in August 2023, scoring nine goals from thirteen league games in his debut season, a considerable jump in professional level.
The forward then made a significant move to Lille, France, in February 2024, for a transfer fee rumoured to be around the range of £3.2 million. His tenure at Lille in the Ligue 1, however, was rather brief, appearing only twice for the first team in the course of the 2023-2024 season.
Ilić then journeyed to Germany, joining Union Berlin in the Bundesliga on loan in August 2024. His stint there was fruitful, appearing 16 times and netting seven goals in his first season (2024-2025). He continues to play for Union Berlin, making the move permanent in July 2025 for a fee close to £4.3 million. He has since maintained his performance level, appearing 16 times in the current season (2025-2026).
His international prowess saw him participate in the World Cup Qualifiers Europe during 2024-2026 for Serbia, where he made an appearance as a substitute.
