Atakan Karazor, born on 13th October 1996 in Germany, is a midfielder known primarily for his role as a central defensive midfielder for Stuttgart. Standing at 6ft 2in (1.9m) and tipping the scales at 12st 8lb (80kg), Karazor cuts an imposing figure in the centre of the pitch. His dedication and skill also saw him earn a place in the Turkey national team. Karazor takes to the field donning the number 16 jersey.
According to Transfermarkt, Karazor's current market value sits around £8m. His journey to this point started in July 2017 when he transferred from Borussia Dortmund II, playing in the Regionalliga West in Germany, to Holstein Kiel in the 2. Bundesliga. The details of this deal remain undisclosed.
During his debut season (2017-2018) with Holstein Kiel, Karazor made four first team appearances in league matches. He built on this foundation in the 2018-2019 season, making 22 appearances and netting two goals.
In July 2019, Karazor transferred to Stuttgart, playing in Germany's top flight Bundesliga, for a fee around £720k. He made 23 appearances in his first season (2019-2020), scoring two goals. Outside of league play, Karazor also represented Turkey in the World Cup Qualifiers Europe 2024 - 2026 with two substitute appearances. He started for Stuttgart in DFL-Supercup 2025 - 2026 and made eight appearances, including six starts, in the Europa League 2025 - 2026.
