Emerging from the frosty climes of Sweden, sits the intriguing tale of forward Bahrudin Atajic, born, not so long ago, on the 16th of November 1993. Now standing at the ripe age of 30, he finds himself plying his trade for Mladost Kakanj in an established role as a striker. Atajic is a striking figure on the field, reaching to just about 6 feet in height (1.83m), and packing a solid 12st 1lb (around 77kg) of muscle behind his swing.
The opening chapter of Atajic's footballing journey was written in July 2011 as he joined Celtic, a side competing fiercely in Scotland's Premiership, as an eager trainee. It was here where he experienced his first taste of action, making a single first team appearance in the 2012 - 2013 season. Ever one to build upon foundations, be they large or minuscule, Atajic made three appearances and tucked away one goal in the following season, each game a new opportunity to refine his craft.
A twist occurred in his tale as January 2014 saw Atajic temporarily shipped off to Shrewsbury Town over in League One in England. His time here, despite being far from home, was considerably busier as he made a total of thirteen first-team appearances in the 2013 - 2014 season.
Breaking away from Celtic and ferrying over to SJK in Finland's Veikkausliiga marked Atajic's February of 2015. In Finland, persistence was his companion, earning him nineteen first team appearances and a memorable goal in the process.
The following year, Atajic decided to further broaden his experiences and transferred to Žalgiris Vilnius in Lithuania in a quiet and undisclosed deal. However, the chase for newer pastures didn't stop there. As 2018 dawned, Atajic moved to Landskrona BoIS in Sweden's Superettan league. This move was marked by a swifter shift as by August 2018 Atajic found himself yet again on the move to Mladost Kakanj in Bosnia and Herzegovina's Prva Liga.
His time at Mladost Kakanj started off with less of a crack and more of a whimper, failing to record any first-team appearances during the 2019 - 2020 season. Yet, the story of Bahrudin Atajic is not over. This well-travelled footballer who cut his teeth at venerable Celtic continues his saga in the game, bringing his wealth of experience to every club fortunate enough to secure his services.
