Ben McPherson, born on the 19th of March 2004, is a native of Scotland and a proficient defender who primarily plays as a right back. Currently sporting the number 24 jersey for Partick Thistle, McPherson stands at a respectable height of 5ft 11in (1.81m), with a weight of 11st 6lb (73kg).
Tracing back to his professional development, in July 2019, McPherson made a move to Celtic, one of the top-tier clubs in the Scottish Premiership. Here, we had an intriguing opportunity to witness his skills and potential unfold.
His time at Celtic, as we would recall, was momentarily paused when he was loaned out to Queen's Park in the Championship in August 2023. His inaugural 2023 - 2024 season at Queen's Park saw McPherson making 24 first team appearances in league matches, clearly displaying his knack for perseverance and steady progress.
In June 2024, following the completion of his loan at Queen's Park, McPherson returned to Celtic, making his mark on the field again. Yet destiny had different plans as in August 2025. McPherson embarked on another loan, this time to Partick Thistle in the Championship.
Currently, in the 2025 - 2026 season at Partick Thistle, McPherson has added 22 first team appearances in league matches to his tally. He also had the honour to represent Partick Thistle in the League Cup 2025 - 2026 with one start, and similarly, in the Scottish Cup 2025 - 2026 with one start.
While we appreciate McPherson's contributions to Celtic during his stint there, we will undoubtedly stay tuned for more achievements he is poised to bag in his ongoing football journey.
