Ben Summers, a central attacking midfielder for Celtic, was born in Scotland on 16 June 2004, standing at a height of 5ft 7in (1.71m) and weighing in at a solid 10st 5lb (66kg). Making his mark in the number 35 jersey, Summers first joined the illustrious ranks of Celtic as a trainee back in July 2019.
Summers made his first team debut for Celtic in the Scottish Premiership during the 2022-2023 season, featuring in two league matches. Despite this promising start, he was yet to make a reappearance for the first team during the current season of 2025-2026. However, as we've seen in the past, fortunes can swiftly change in the realm of football.
In August of 2023, Summers' journey took an exciting detour as he was loaned to Dunfermline Athletic, plying his trade in the Scottish Championship. Over the course of the 2023-2024 season, Summers played in 20 first team matches, scoring twice. A fruitful period indeed.
Upon completing his loan at Dunfermline in June 2024, Summers returned to his parent club Celtic, ready once again to prove his worth in the Scottish Premiership. However, by September of the same year, a new opportunity beckoned when Summers was whisked away to Austria to play on loan for Admira Wacker in the 2. Liga. Much like his stint at Dunfermline, Summers saw considerable pitch-time in Austria, with 19 first team appearances and two goals scored during the 2024-2025 season.
Ben returned to Celtic once again in June 2025, following the end of his loan spell at Admira Wacker. With a comparatively quiet 2025-2026 season at Celtic so far, fans are eager to see what the young Scot can bring to the table in the months ahead.
