Beni Baningime, born on the 9th of September 1998 in the Democratic Republic of Congo (formerly Zaire), is widely recognised as a solid midfielder. Currently beleaguering defences for Scottish Premiership side Hearts, his primary role lies in the centre of the park. Beni stands at 5 foot 10 inches (approximately 1.78 metres) and tips the scales at a lean 11 stone 11 pounds (roughly 75 kg). He dons the Number 6 jersey for the Jam Tarts.
As reported by Transfermarkt, Baningime's market value hovers around the region of £1m. Furthermore, his current contract with the Edinburgh outfit runs until the 31st of May 2026, with roughly 1.5 years remaining.
Our lad's football journey commenced in July 2007, when he joined Everton's illustrious youth setup. His debut for the Toffees' senior team came during the 2017-2018 season when he obtained eight outings in the English top flight.
In January 2019, Baningime was loaned out to Wigan Athletic; his tenure at the League One club was unremarkable, with only a single first-team league appearance to his name. June 2019 saw his return to Everton, and he followed the same pattern from his debut season, making another eight league appearances.
Another loan spell, this time at Derby County, materialised in February 2021 and proved just as underwhelming. He made two first-team appearances in England's second tier that season.
Baningime's career took a northerly turn in July 2021 when he inked a permanent deal with Hearts. He managed an impressive 24 first team appearances and a goal against his name in the 2021-2022 season. Over the following two seasons, Baningime continued his solid performances, making 29 and eight appearances respectively, marking himself as a valuable player in the Scottish Premiership. He's also seen action in the 2023-2024 Scottish Cup, with four starts and in the 2024-2025 Conference League, with two starts.
