Benjamin Tahirovic, born on 3 March 2003 (age 23), is a Bosnia and Herzegovina international midfielder now with Brondby. A commanding 6ft 3in (1.91m), he is primarily used as a central defensive midfielder, with the frame and profile to sit in front of a back line rather than decorate much further forward.
His clearest club season so far came at Ajax in 2023-24, when he made 26 league appearances and scored two goals. That remains his most productive league campaign, useful context for a player still in the building stage of his career rather than the finished article.
At Brondby, Tahirovic has carried enough interest to be linked with a move to Celtic in February 2026 and again in May. His market value is around £4m, according to Transfermarkt.
He has also been involved with Bosnia and Herzegovina this season, making four World Cup appearances and 10 World Cup qualifying appearances, with one goal in qualifying. At this stage, his career is that of a tall defensive midfielder with experience at Ajax, Brondby and international level, and with his next step still to be properly defined.
