Benjamin Tahirovic, born on 3 March 2003 (age 23), is a Bosnia and Herzegovina international who plays primarily as a central defensive midfielder for Brondby. At 6ft 3in (1.91m), he is an imposing presence in the middle of the pitch, though his game has been built more around position and use of the ball than any great mystery.
His most productive league campaign came at Ajax in 2023–24, when he scored two goals in 26 appearances. That remains the clearest statistical marker of his time there before his move on to Brondby, where he has continued to play regular first-team football.
In 2025–26, Tahirovic has made 25 Superliga appearances for Brondby, scoring once, and has also played six times in Conference League qualifying. Across all competitions for the Danish club, he has 31 appearances and one goal this season. His market value is around £4m, according to Transfermarkt.
He has also remained involved with Bosnia and Herzegovina, making one World Cup appearance and featuring 10 times in European World Cup qualifying, with one goal. He was linked with a move to Celtic while at Brondby in February 2026, with the same line resurfacing in May.
Tahirovic is still a regular first-team presence at Brondby in 2025–26, with senior experience at Ajax, in Denmark, and at international level. His career is still developing, but he is already an established professional rather than a prospect waiting for minutes.
