Born in Israel on 2 May 1988, Beram Kayal is a seasoned midfielder known for his work as a central defensive midfielder. Currently playing for Bnei Sakhnin, Kayal stands at 1.78m (5ft 10in) tall and weighs 74kg (11st 9lb). He can often be seen sporting the number 22 jersey on the pitch.
Kayal started his professional football journey with Maccabi Haifa in the Premier League of Israel in July 2006. Four years later, in July 2010, he made a significant career move by transferring to Celtic in the Premiership in Scotland for a fee of around £1.3m. His stint at Celtic was marked by consistent appearances and a few goals. In his debut season 2010 - 2011, Kayal made 21 first team appearances and scored two goals in league matches. His performance remained laudable over the next few seasons, although his appearances gradually declined from 27 in 2012 - 2013 to just 6 in 2014 - 2015.
In January 2015, Kayal's career saw another significant turn as he transferred from Celtic to Brighton & Hove Albion in England for an undisclosed fee. He spent quality time with Brighton & Hove Albion, making critical contributions across several seasons. He returned to England in January 2020 on completion of his loan to Charlton Athletic in the League One.
Kayal's journey took him back to Israel when he transferred, once again, in November 2020. Rejoining the Premier League in Israel, he now plays for Bnei Sakhnin although, as of the 2024 - 2025 season, his first team appearances stand at zero.
