Callum Slattery, born on 8 February 1999, is a 27-year-old English midfielder who, at current, takes the field for Motherwell in the central defensive midfield position. With a height of 6ft 1in (1.86m) and a weight of 12st 10lb (81kg), Slattery cuts an imposing figure in his number 8 jersey.

Slattery embarked on his football career as a trainee at Southampton in the Championship in England back in July 2015, subsequently making a trio of first-team appearances in league matches during his debut season, in 2018-2019.
He was subsequently loaned to De Graafschap in the Eerste Divisie in the Netherlands in January 2020. Here, he appeared in five league matches and made his mark with one goal.
In another loan transfer in January 2021, Slattery moved to Gillingham in England's League Two.
By July 2021, Slattery decided to change pastures, moving from Southampton to Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership for an undisclosed fee. Over his various seasons at Motherwell, he clocked significant numbers, beginning with 31 first-team appearances and two goals in league matches in the 2021-2022 season. The subsequent seasons witnessed steady appearances and goal outcomes, with his best performance in the 2024-2025 season with 15 first-team appearances and six goals.
In the current season, 2025-2026, Slattery continued contributing to his team's efforts, participating in 24 league matches and scoring three goals. His consistent performances also earned him a chance in the League Cup 2025-2026 for Motherwell with four starts and one appearance as a substitute, and the Scottish Cup 2025-2026 with one start and one appearance as a substitute.
