Calum Waters, born in Glasgow on 10 March 1996 (age 30), is a Scottish left-back who came through at Celtic before his senior career properly took shape elsewhere.
He left Celtic in July 2016 for Alloa Athletic, a sensible enough next step for a young defender needing regular football rather than another year around the fringes. His 2016-17 league season at Alloa was his most productive, with 36 appearances and one goal.
After Alloa, Waters had time at Kilmarnock before becoming more settled at Greenock Morton. That period gave his career a firmer footing, away from the early promise attached to being a Celtic trainee.
He has since been back at Alloa Athletic, primarily as a left-back and wearing squad number 59. In 2026-27, he has made four Championship play-off appearances and scored once.
Waters’ career has run from Celtic’s youth system into a solid senior path at Alloa, Kilmarnock, Morton and Alloa again. It is a straightforward Scottish football career, built more on games than noise.
