Calvin Stengs, born on 18 December 1998 (age 27), is a Dutch attacking midfielder with Feyenoord. He came through at AZ, where his best league return came in 2020-21: seven goals in 30 appearances, a useful marker for a player more often judged on craft than volume.
His move away from AZ took him to Nice, but the more important staging post was a loan spell at Royal Antwerp. That gave him regular football and helped reset a career that had started brightly without quite settling into a straight line. Feyenoord then brought him back to the Netherlands, where he has operated mainly as a central attacking midfielder.
He was linked with a move to Celtic in August 2025 while at Feyenoord. His current market value is around £6m, according to Transfermarkt.
Stengs’ career has so far been built around technical ability, a strong AZ breakthrough, a useful loan in Belgium, and a return to Dutch football with Feyenoord. He remains an established professional rather than a player requiring any grand rebrand.
