Camilo Durán is a Colombian striker, born on 10 February 2002 (age 24), whose route to Celtic ran through Qarabag rather than the more familiar markets. His 2025-26 league season in Azerbaijan gave the move some substance, with 9 goals in 30 appearances.
He was linked with Celtic in July 2026, and later that month joined from Qarabag for around £6m. That is a notable outlay for a player still being tested at a higher level, so the early part of his Celtic spell comes with the usual shortage of patience.
His first Celtic appearances have brought some end product outside the league. In 2026-27 he has made 2 league appearances, scored once in the League Cup and twice in Champions League qualifying, giving him 3 goals in 4 games across all competitions for the club.
His current market value is around £1.5m, according to Transfermarkt. Durán’s career is still taking shape: productive at Qarabag, newly arrived at Celtic, and now trying to turn a small early sample into something steadier.
