Caolan Boyd-Munce is a case of slow and steady progress. The Northern Ireland born and internationally capped central midfielder was born on the 26th of January, 2000, making him 24 years old at the time of writing. Standing at 5'10" (1.8 m) and weighing in at 11st 2lb (71 kg), the number 15 is currently plying his trade at St Mirren.
So far in the 2024-2025 season, Boyd-Munce has started twice for St Mirren in Scotland's Premiership, while also representing his club in the Scottish Cup and Conference League Qualifiers during the previous season.
Boyd-Munce's football journey started with Glentoran in Northern Ireland during the 2015-2016 season, where he could only muster one appearance for the first team. This humble start was not an indicator of things to come as Boyd-Munce would continue to push for more football.
His drive would take him to England next, with Birmingham City, a club where he would make seven appearances across two seasons (2019-2021). His exploits caught the attention of Middlesbrough, but his career remained stubbornly on the slow burn, with two appearances across the 2021-2023 seasons.
Nevertheless, Boyd-Munce managed to catch the attention of St Mirren and secured a move to Scotland. Since then he has seen a significant spike in game time. After three outings in his first season (2022-2023), Boyd-Munce enjoyed a more involved role, representing The Buddies 35 times in the 2023-2024 season and twice in the current campaign.
