Carse MacKenzie, born on 29 February 2004 (age 22), is a Scottish central midfielder whose senior career has taken shape away from the club where he started. He came through at Celtic as a trainee, but his pathway there ended in July 2024 when he moved to Coleraine.
Before settling more firmly at Coleraine, MacKenzie also had spells at Queen’s Park and Stirling Albion. His best league return came at Queen’s Park in 2023-24, when he scored once in nine appearances – modest enough, but still the most productive league season on his record.
Coleraine has carried the main weight of his career so far. Across one season there, he has made 14 league appearances and scored one league goal, operating primarily in central midfield. It is a straightforward profile: a Celtic trainee who moved on, took in a couple of smaller stages, and found his most established football at Coleraine.
