Dani de Wit, born on 28 January 1998 (age 28), is a Dutch attacking midfielder with FC Utrecht. He is not a delicate No 10 type, but his value has often been in arriving in the right areas and producing a better goal return than many midfielders asked to do similar work.
His most productive league season came with Jong Ajax in 2017–18, when he scored 13 goals in 32 appearances. That remains a useful marker for the kind of midfielder he became: not merely a link player, and not quite a forward, but someone with a steady habit of turning midfield work into end product.
At Utrecht, de Wit remains a regular first-team presence in 2025–26. Wearing squad number 20, he has made 41 appearances across all competitions this season and scored nine goals, including seven in 27 Eredivisie matches. He has also featured in European qualifying, the Europa League, the KNVB Beker and the European play-offs, so he is hardly being treated as a spare part.
His current market value is around £2m, according to Transfermarkt. De Wit’s career to this point is a fairly clear one: productive at Jong Ajax, established at Utrecht, and still contributing regularly from attacking midfield.
