Daniel Majstorović was born on the 5th of April in 1977, in Sweden and made his name in the football world as a highly capable central defender. Standing at an imposing 6ft 2in (1.9m) and weighing in at 13st 12lb (88kg), Majstorović demonstrated undeniable presence on the pitch.
Majstorović kick-started his professional football career by joining IF Brommapojkarna in the Allsvenskan in Sweden, in January of 1995. His debut season saw him make a promising 20 first-team appearances in league matches; this was followed by a 1997 season featuring 14 appearances and one goal.
In July 1997, Majstorović transferred from IF Brommapojkarna to the German outfit Fortuna Köln in the Regionalliga Nord, where he made 17 first team appearances and scored one goal in league matches.
Majstorović returned to Sweden in February of 1999 to join Vasteras SK in the Allsvenskan, where across his two seasons he made significant impacts with 43 appearances and nine goals.
Upon transferring to another Swedish team, Malmo FF, in the Allsvenskan in February of 2001, Majstorović found continued success. Over four seasons with the club, he logged 85 appearances and contributed nine goals.
From Sweden, Majstorović journeyed to the Netherlands in August 2004 when he joined FC Twente in the Eredivisie. Across two seasons, he made 49 appearances and found the net four times.
Majstorović ventured to Switzerland to play for FC Basel in January 2006. His fruitful stint with the club saw a spike in his scoring, finding the net 23 times over 85 appearances.
In May 2008, he left Switzerland for AEK Athens in the Super League Greece. Over two seasons he maintained a consistent performance with 56 appearances and four goals.
The significant period of Daniel Majstorović's career came in August 2010 when he signed with Celtic FC in Scotland's Premiership. His tenure with Celtic spanned two seasons from 2010 to 2012, during which time he made 49 appearances, and scored one goal. In every fixture, Majstorović demonstrated a fierce commitment to defence, a trait that endeared him to the Celtic faithful. He was known for his intimidating stature and robust approach to the game.
Post Celtic, in May 2012, Majstorović transferred back to Sweden, this time to AIK in the Allsvenskan. He played there until December 2013, making 12 appearances and scoring one goal.
