Daniele Ghilardi, born on 6 January 2003 (age 23), is an Italian central defender with Roma, wearing squad number 87. His current market value is around £7m, according to Transfermarkt.
His strongest league season so far came at Sampdoria in 2023-24, when he made 37 appearances and scored twice. For a centre-half still building his senior career, that was a useful run of games rather than a decorative line on the CV.
By 2025-26 he remained a regular first-team presence at Roma. He has made 23 Serie A appearances without scoring, along with one in the Coppa Italia and four in the Europa League, taking him to 32 appearances in all competitions for the club.
Ghilardi’s career is still at the building stage: a productive spell at Sampdoria, followed by a meaningful place in Roma’s squad. He is not yet a finished article, but he is playing often enough for that development to matter.
