David Watson, born on 12 February 2000, is a home-bred talent hailing from Scotland's own pastures. This dedicated midfielder, currently shoring up the middle for Kilmarnock, makes his mark standing at a sturdy 5 feet and 10 inches (1.78m) with a weight of 11 stones (70kg). Not only does he deftly control the ball in the middle of the park, but also garners attention for his distinctive number 12 jersey.
In the combative world of Scottish football, Watson noticeably came into his own during the 2022-2023 season at Kilmarnock, gracing the grass for ten first-team appearances. It was the following season, however, when he truly began to show his prowess. Demonstrating his steady rise, Watson made 36 appearances in the 2023-2024 season, and more importantly, started discovering his knack for finding the back of the net, with a commendable tally of five goals.
The subsequent 2024-2025 season was no different for our midfield maestro, as Watson adroitly navigated the field in 35 first-team appearances, netting the ball four times in what was becoming a signature style.
The current 2025-2026 season has seen Watson continue this rich vein of form. Despite this season still being in progress, our lad has already made notable strides with 25 first-team appearances and three goals, keeping him firmly in the contention.
Aside from his exploits in the league, he has also lent his skill to the 2025-2026 League Cup campaign, providing solid performances in four starts and two substitute appearances. Not content with only that, he donned the jersey for the Scottish Cup the same season, his single start undoubtedly leaving a mark on the memory of the Kilmarnock faithful.
Pride of Scotland, and a testament to home-bred footballing resilience, David Watson continues on his ascendant footballing journey, creating and embarking on his legacy one game at a time.
