David Strelec, a skilled striker, was born in Slovakia on 4 April 2001. Now aged 23, he excels in his forward role for the football club Slovan Bratislava. At a height of 6ft (1.85m) and weight of 11st 6lb (73kg), Strelec has secured the position as number 13 jersey wearer on the team. Companying seasons saw him up his game with an eventual 25 appearances and nine goals in the 2020 - 2021 season.
In August 2021, Strelec's career took a further upturn when he transferred from Slovan Bratislava to Serie B's Spezia in Italy for a fee of around £2.3m. Despite a drop in appearances, Strelec still managed to log ten first team appearances and scored one goal in his debut 2021 - 2022 season.
With 2023 underway, Strelec then found himself loaned to Reggina in the Serie C in Italy, where he completed 15 first team appearances and scored three goals. July 2024 saw Strelec make another move, this time, a full transfer from Spezia to his original Slovan Bratislava for a reduced fee of approximately £580k. Strelec continues to impress in the current season with 18 appearances and ten goals under his belt.
Strelec’s international presence is not to be understated with various contests under his belt. He participated in Euro 2024 for Slovakia, the Euro Qualifiers 2022 - 2024 for Slovakia, Champions League Qualifiers and the main Champions League 2024 - 2025 for Slovan Bratislava, to mention a few. They showcased his skill with impressive performances, such as four goals in four starts and two substitute appearances in the Nations League 2024 - 2025 for Slovakia, and in the Conference League 2023 - 2024 for Slovan Bratislava with six starts and two substitute appearances.
