Dylan Wells, born on 20 March 2006 in Scotland, is a gritty midfielder who primarily pulls the strings from the centre of the park for Motherwell FC. Standing at a sturdy 5ft 6in (1.7m) and weighing in at a solid 10st 3lb (65kg), Wells dons the number 27 shirt with pride.
Wells formally joined Motherwell FC, a stalwart of the Premiership in Scotland, in July 2022. His debut season (2023-2024) at Motherwell saw him step onto the pitch for a single first team league game. He mirrored this achievement in the subsequent 2024 -2025 season, once again making only a single first team appearance in league matches. The current 2025 - 2026 season, however, has thus far seen Wells sitting on the bench, with no first team appearances to his name yet.
In an interesting turn of events, Wells was loaned out to Edinburgh City, a team plying their trade in League Two in Scotland, in September 2024. After a spell away from the familiar surroundings of Motherwell, Wells returned to his parent club in June 2025, following the completion of his loan spell at Edinburgh.
Upon his return to Motherwell for the 2025 - 2026 season, Wells' situation remained challenging, as he has yet to make any first team appearances in league fixtures. Perhaps, much to the dismay of the young lad, but one thing is for sure - perseverance is key and will most certainly be his guiding light to more first-team action.
