Eduardo Quaresma, born on 2 March 2002 (age 24), is a Portuguese central defender whose career has largely been built at Sporting CP. His current market value is around £15.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
Sporting has been the main line through his career, with 72 league appearances and four league goals across six seasons. That is enough football to make him more than a passing academy name, though still short of the settled status that tends to remove all doubt around a defender.
The useful early detour came at Tondela in 2021-22, where he played 25 league matches and scored two goals. For a young centre-half, that kind of regular football matters more than polite praise from the training ground.
Back at Sporting, Quaresma has remained part of the first-team picture. In 2026-27, he has made five Liga Portugal appearances, keeping his career centred on the club that has shaped almost all of it so far.
