Elie Youan, a football forward primarily occupying the left wing position for Hibernian, was born in France on the 7th of April, 1999, making him currently 26 years of age. Standing at a height of 6 feet (approximately 1.83 metres), his weight is recorded to be 12 stone 3 pounds (approximately 78 kilograms). He is recognised on the pitch sporting the number 7 for his Club's jersey.
Youan's journey in professional football began in July 2015, when he joined the French Ligue 1 team, Nantes, as a trainee. His debut season (2018-2019) at the club saw him making only one appearance for the first team in league matches. This increased slightly in the 2019-2020 season where he made five first team appearances.
A shift came in September 2020 when Youan went on loan from Nantes to St. Gallen in the Swiss Super League. A fruitful stint in the 2020-2021 season saw him making 29 first team appearances, with a contribution of five goals. His performance continued improving in the next season (2021-2022), where he notched up 18 first team appearances and six goals.
July 2021 marked a significant transition in Youan's career, when he proceeded with a transfer from Nantes to St. Gallen for a meagre fee of around £450k. His first season (2020-2021) with the Swiss club witnessed him making 29 first-team appearances, with a decent goal tally of five. The following season (2021-2022) saw an enhancement in his performance as he made 18 appearances and netted six goals.
In January 2022, Youan moved on loan from St. Gallen to the Belgian Pro League side Mechelen. In the 2021-2022 season, he made four first team appearances in league matches.
The subsequent move to the Scottish Premiership side Hibernian on loan in July 2022 proved fruitful for the player. Youan's debut season (2022-2023) with Hibernian saw 36 first team appearances and nine goals. The footballer's successful performance led to a permanent transfer to Hibernian in July 2023 for around £500k. The 2023-2024 season proved beneficial as well with Youan making 31 first team appearances and five goals. This trend carried onto the next two seasons where Youan contributed substantially in terms of appearances and goals.
During his time at Hibernian, Youan also showed his skills in tournaments such as the League Cup 2025 - 2026 and the Europa and Conference League Qualifiers during the same season, although his appearances were mainly as a substitute.
