Eljif Elmas, born on 24 September 1999 (age 26), is a Macedonian attacking player now with Atalanta, where he is used primarily from the left and wears number 99. His current market value is around £13m, according to Transfermarkt.
His early career included loan football, the sort of necessary sorting-out period that often decides whether a player is merely promising or actually useful. It helped move him towards the level where Napoli became the central spell of his career.
In Naples, Elmas was not a decorative extra. Across six seasons with Napoli, he made 176 league appearances and scored 15 goals, becoming a regular part of a strong side without always needing to be the main act. His best league return came in 2022-23, when he scored six times in 36 appearances.
Atalanta is the next stage rather than the full story. In 2026-27, he has made one Serie A appearance and seven in the Champions League, giving him eight appearances in all competitions for the club so far.
Elmas’s career is still most clearly shaped by his Napoli years: six seasons, steady involvement, and enough end product to matter. Atalanta now gives him another platform, but the bulk of his senior work remains in Naples.
