Emil Audero, born on 18 January 1997 (age 29), is an Italian goalkeeper now with Como. His current market value is around £2.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
He came through Juventus, where first-team football was always going to be rationed. His single league appearance in 2016-17 was a start rather than a breakthrough, and the early loan route gave him the senior football he needed before Sampdoria became the main stretch of his career.
Sampdoria is where Audero’s career took its proper shape. Across five seasons he made 163 league appearances, a long run for a goalkeeper at a club that asked plenty of its back line. It was not a glittering spell, but it was a substantial one, and it remains the period that most clearly defines him.
He has stayed relevant rather than drifting into the margins. In 2025-26, he has made 34 Serie A appearances for Como, remaining a regular first-team presence. His career so far is a straightforward one: developed at Juventus, established at Sampdoria, and still playing regularly in Italy’s top flight.
