Emmanuel Danso, a Ghanaian by birth and coming into being on 10 November 2000, finds himself at the ripe age of 25 and acting the part of a midfielder for Livingston. He's a sturdy chap, standing at about 5ft 8in (1.75m) and tipping the scales at a trim 10st 5lb (66kg). His favoured position is in the central defensive midfield and he carries the weighty responsibility of the number 20 jersey. Transfermarkt would proffer that Danso currently knocks around with a market value of roughly €400k - for those of you who are more attuned to Sterling, that's roughly £340,000.
Early dabbles in Norwegian football with Stromsgodset saw Danso making an impact gradually, with rather modest initial appearances – four in the 2022 season, to be precise. Fervour being the spice of life, the restless Danso doubled his quota to 12 appearances for Stromsgodset in the 2023 slot. Keen not to put all eggs in one basket, he rather prudently reduced this to eight in the following season, presumably keeping his powder dry for challenges yet to come.
And challenging it became – with the move to Stabaek (still clinging onto the Norwegian football scene) Danso found himself shouldering the responsibility of 24 first team appearances in the 2025 season. But the green pastures of Scotland were calling and who was Danso to resist?
Thus began the Scottish chapter for Danso with Livingston in the season of 2025 - 2026. Though infancy in its presence, he managed to chalk up three first team appearances. To add to the Gaul, he also threw his hat into the ring for the grand old Scottish Cup 2025 - 2026. Regretfully though, he could only muster one appearance, albeit as a substitute. Nonetheless, fresh pastures are rarely without humps and bumps, it'll be intriguing indeed to witness how Danso carves his name in the annals of Livingston's history.
