Ethan Hamilton, a Scottish-born footballer, was brought into the world on the 18th of October, 1998, making him 27 years of age. At a towering 6ft 1in (1.87m) high and a solid 12st 1lb (77kg), he cuts a rather imposing figure on the football pitch. You'll primarily see him filling the role of central midfielder for the Dundee club, donning the number 48 on his strip.
Numerous reports, including one presented by Transfermarkt, suggest Hamilton's current market value sits around what one might consider a modest £340k.
Hamilton's journey in competitive football began in July 2014 when he departed the wetlands of Scotland for the glitz and glamour of the Premier League. Manchester United, in particular, saw potential in the youngster and accepted him as a trainee. This would mark the beginning of a fond relationship with English football for Hamilton.
After cutting his teeth at Manchester United, Hamilton was loaned out to Rochdale in January 2019. A series of loans would follow. In August of the same year, he was transferred to Southend United, followed by a switch to Bolton Wanderers roughly halfway through the 2020 season.
In August 2020, Manchester United waved farewell to Hamilton, and he moved to Peterborough United, a move that would see him making his first team debut in Jan 2021. He made two league appearances during his time with the team.
The next seasons saw Hamilton making moves across England's football landscape. These included transitions to Accrington Stanley in August 2021, where he netted twice in 25 appearances, and then Lincoln City in August 2023.
Then, in August 2025, Hamilton returned to Scotland, joining Dundee in the Premiership. So far, this season (2025 - 2026) he has made 28 appearances and scored once. His accomplishments haven't been solely tied to league football, however. Most noteworthy among his exploits is a goal netted during Dundee's run in the Scottish Cup 2025 - 2026, scored during just two starts.
