Eythor Bjørgolfsson, born on 25 August 2000 (age 25), is a Norwegian striker currently with Motherwell. A commanding 6ft 4in (1.93m) centre-forward, he is valued at around £340,000 by Transfermarkt.
His career is shaped chiefly by his spell at Umea FC. In the 2025 season he scored 15 league goals in 29 appearances, a return strong enough to stand well above the rest of his senior record so far. For a developing striker, that is the sort of season that gets noticed without requiring much embroidery.
Bjørgolfsson moved on to Motherwell for the 2025–26 campaign, where the step into Scottish football has been more modest. He has made nine league appearances and scored once, with one further outing in the Scottish Cup, taking him to 10 appearances and one goal in all competitions for the club.
So far, Bjørgolfsson’s profile is straightforward: a tall Norwegian striker whose best work came at Umea FC, and who is now trying to turn that productive spell into something more durable at Motherwell.
