Facundo Buonanotte, born 23 December 2004 in Argentina, is a 19-year-old midfielder. Standing at a height of 5ft 8in and weighing 10st 12lb, Buonanotte spends his time primarily in the central attacking midfield. Since 2022, he's been wearing the number 40 jersey for Brighton & Hove Albion.
While Buonanotte cut his teeth at Rosario Central in his home country, he made his professional debut in the 2022 season. In 24 appearances, he managed a rather respectable four goals. Not half bad for a fresh face.
Buonanotte's development continued at Brighton & Hove Albion, with 13 first team appearances and a solitary goal in his first season (2022 - 2023). His contribution grew the following season as he played in 27 Premier League matches, scoring thrice. He also nabbed a goal in the FA Cup over three starts, and saw time in the Europa League with two starts and three as a substitute.
However, the current season (2024 - 2025) hasn't been kind to Buonanotte. As of now, he hasn't managed to feature in Brighton's first team. Here's hoping his fortunes change, and soon.
