Facundo Buonanotte, born on 23 December 2004 (age 21), is an Argentine attacking midfielder with Brighton & Hove Albion. He is primarily used centrally, where his job is to knit play together rather than live on the touchline waiting for scraps.
His clearest run of league productivity came away from Brighton, at Leicester City in 2024-2025, when he scored five goals in 31 appearances. That remains the most substantial season of his senior career so far, useful without being something that needs framed in gold.
Back at Brighton in 2025-2026, Buonanotte has worn squad number 40 and has had a more limited role. He has made four Premier League appearances without scoring, along with two in the FA Cup and three in the League Cup, where he has scored once. His Brighton total for the season stands at nine appearances and one goal in all competitions.
Buonanotte is still in the early stretch of his career: a young Argentine attacking midfielder with Premier League experience, a productive Leicester spell behind him, and work still to do to turn promise into a settled place at Brighton.
