Filip Twardzik was born in Trinec, Czechia, on 10 February 1993 (age 33), and came through at Celtic as a trainee. His Celtic connection sits at the start of the story rather than the centre of it, with his senior career taking shape after he moved on.
He left Celtic in February 2015 for Bolton Wanderers, a move that took him into English football before a run of spells across central Europe. Karvina, Spartak Trnava and LASK all came into the picture, before he found a firmer footing at MFK Ružomberok.
His best league return came at Ružomberok in 2019-2020, when he scored seven goals in 23 appearances. For a left back, that was a useful contribution rather than background noise.
Twardzik is now with Spartak Trnava, where he is primarily used at left back and wears squad number 56. His current market value is around £106,000, according to Transfermarkt.
His career has been a steady professional one: early years at Celtic, a move to Bolton, and then a longer body of work built in Slovak and Czech football.
