Franco Israel, born on 22 April 2000 (age 26), is an imposing 6ft 3in (1.90m) Uruguayan goalkeeper now with Torino. His current market value is around £4.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
His senior career has been shaped above all by Sporting CP. Across three seasons in Lisbon he made 24 league appearances, with the 2022-23 campaign giving him a small foothold in the side through three league outings. It was not a vast body of work, but it remains the spell that gives his career its clearest substance.
Israel is now at Torino, where he wears squad number 81. In 2025-26 he has made nine Serie A appearances and one in the Coppa Italia, 10 games in all competitions. For a goalkeeper still building a stable run of first-team football, that is the current measure of where he stands.
His career so far is a straightforward one: a Uruguayan keeper with his main senior grounding at Sporting CP, now looking to turn his Torino spell into something more regular.
