Freddie Owens, a bona fide Scot, was born on 28th September 2005 and is currently aged 20. Owens is an accomplished goalkeeper who defends the goal post for Hibernian Football Club, adorning the number 51 on his jersey.
In the summer of 2021, Owens decided to lend his fledgling talents to Hibernian, joining their ranks as a trainee. Although just getting his legs amongst the Scottish Premiership, Owens showed promising signs of what was to come during this period at the club.
As Owens sought opportunities to develop his skills in the senior league, he temporarily left Hibernian in July 2025. Under the auspices of a loan deal, our dear Freddie found himself taking his gloves to East Kilbride, an integral component of the Scottish League Two. This transfer proved immensely beneficial for Owens as it gave him the crucial experience he needed at a high level of competition.
By January 2026, with his loan period having met its natural conclusion, Owens returned to his home club Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership. Having honed his skills and abilities amidst the fierce competition in League Two, his return was met with substantial expectations. And one can confidently say, Owens has been living up to the faith Hibernian placed in him.
